Why We Built The Backcountry Cardiac Xpore 3L Touring Convertible Bib
"I don't know how it does it, but this bib is so breathable and undeniably waterproof. Perfect for the backcountry." —Gearhead® Expert Alex
We give you both comfort and performance on the climb and the run with our Backcountry Cardiac Xpore 3L Touring Convertible Bib. Zippers on the inside and outside of the thighs let us get the crosswinds flowing when the skintrack steepens, while the articulated fit and inseam gusset let us kickturn and bootpack without stressing and blowing seams. On deep days, we zip on the bib to keep the fluff away from our baselayers, and we appreciate the three-layer, seam-sealed construction ensuring moisture stays on the outside. As we harvest our soft turns, we do so blissfully guilt-free, knowing we chose a hardworking bib pant built with recycled materials and an eco-friendly, PFAS-free* hydrophobic membrane.

Purple!

I love these pants! Purple! The lift operators recognize me. People compliment me. The bib is a little bit weird in how it fits. However, that's not a big deal. Keeping my inhaler close to me to keep it warm makes up for the weird bib thing. The snow stays on the outside, I stay warm and dry on the inside. They don't soak through while sitting on a snowy chair. The material is rugged and much tougher than other pants I have ripped and blown out. Recco is sewn into the cuff. Highly recommended :)

Awesome pant, poor bib design
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times

I am usually an athletic fit, the pants themselves fit perfectly, however, the bibs are extremely tight at the top band(where it isn’t elastic). Crotch area is a non issue (plenty of room), legs are maybe a little tight fitting but not bad, and the pockets and vents are great. I have used a couple of times and overall they are a good pant but I will never be able to use the bibs unless I lose some mass. If you have ANY kind of gut, do not plan on using bibs unless they eliminate this or allow you to get a medium sized one to zip in. Hate they call it a high flex bib when it has a rigid band, I literally have abs and it is uncomfortably tight from start to finish. Opted to go without them and am happier with the fit but wish I could bear it for sake of the bib feature.

Nice Pants, weird sizing
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it

I liked the fabric. I like the color scheme (Kalamata). Like the inner and outer vents. But they are very high waisted; come up past my belly button. Which lets the crotch hangs down and limits your movement. So I am returning them. Too bad, cause they look like awesome pants with all the right features.
