Great Boot for Alaska
Bought boot couple of years ago, reminder of a better SOREL and more affordable. I wear these Snowmaking in Alaska 7 12hr shifts. I sized up to wear bamma booties with to add insulation as well wick moisture from socks. Incredible work boot, wearing xtra tuff boots for 33yrs in fisheries, and now after 27ys snowmaking I found what I feel the best boot for Alaska winter. Constructed and Durability is great, I have waited to review because I wanted to accurately access. My work is abusive to foot wear and these boots hold up. Thought I stole them because the price.
Great boot! Wore them for a year plowing, hunting and ice fishing. These boots are a must have for any outdoorsman in the Mid-West. Held up great with unmatched traction, even on glare ice. I paired them with the insulated soles and donāt think Iāll ever need another pair of winter boots.

Not the Xtrutuf quality I knew and loved.
About 6 years ago, I bought a pare of 15" legacy boots, and wore them almost every day for 5 years. Two years ago I moved from Alaska to Chicago and last year, my Legacy boots were robbed from me. Yes, even the criminals know xtratufs are good footwear. I bought these Legacy Lace boots shortly after to replace my old ones. Within the first month, the fake leather started peeling off. About 2 months after getting them, I tried them out in water, and both boots leaked in the sole area. I was very disappointed, but it was to late to replace them. Now they sit in my closet in shame, because I spent to much money on them. I really should just toss them:/ Just got up and tossed them by the way. It needed to happen.

Early results are impressive.
After seeing this brand dominant in Alaska and the rainforest of Costa Rica, I explored them online, found a great sale and decided to try them. It was already late winter, but I did get in a few snowy hikes in single digits and cold spring deluges. I get it now. They are comfortable and feel impenetrable.

Great winter boots
Great winter and snow boots. Warm insulation and waterproof, I would definitely recommend these for snow and mud. Fit is similar in sizing to my Wheelhouse deck boot.

Uncomfortable
Reay obnoxious seam between the leather and rubber. Rubs on your heel while you walk, boots can't be worn if you plan on doing much walking at all.
