I drop my laptop a lot
I don’t have to worry about my computer breaking. I have had this case for 10 years. just bought another one for my work issued laptop.

Love the product
Didnt think I would get the product before Christmas and surprisingly still delivered in a few days just a few weeks before Dec 25th. Love the product happy with the whole process (great price too!)

Loved it so much, buying again after 8 years!
I bought my first Gauntlet back in 2015 to keep my laptop safe when checked in as cargo, such as some airlines in Asia were requiring. I’m buying a new one because the old one has been through the ringer, with scuffs and gouges from many years heavy use, but these are only cosmetic flaws—the case has never failed. You could literally put your laptop in this case and stand on it without harm. It’s also easy to use with elastic side straps that don’t block access to charging when open, and since I bought my first one they’ve improved the lining by making it darker so it doesn’t get grubby from typing hands resting on the interior fabric. Hope it’s still around in 8 more years when I need a new one again!

Good ...& ...Bad
I have had my Thule Gauntlet for awhile now. Love it, ...but now, at the same time, I am 'disappointed' with it. WHAT I LIKED: ...When I first bought it, it was great. Sturdy, seemingly weather proof exterior. Nicely padded interior. With my 13" Macbook Pro fitting neatly into it, surrounded by a nice ridge of roll-piping on all sides. Rugged trouble free zipper with good gripping cords. The elastic bands held the top of the case up right behind my notebook screen while open as I'm using my Macbook Pro. Just loved this case for a long time. Just love the case, my Macbook never left it. DISAPPOINTMENT #1: ...However, now, after awhile, the case exterior is deteriorating badly. The outer shell is flaking off leaving microscopic black flakes behind everywhere. The elastic band has stretched to the point where it is ineffective, allowing the top of the case to flop down proving to be a nuisance. DISAPPOINTMENT #2: ...So I ordered a new Thule 13" Gauntlet (online) to replace my first one. More disappointment. The new case seems smaller (maybe my original case is the 13"-14" size). My Macbook Pro (same one) does not fit inside well. Tight fit, with the laptop computer wanting to 'pop-out' of the new case. Overall quality, outside & inside seems less (maybe to be expected as over time it seems product quality often is sacrificed to maintain profits). I am having to return my new case for my money back. In the end, I did like my original case. But feel it should have been constructed to last, not deteriorate.

False specification
I’m so disappointed in this product. Bought it because I am been deployed and I thought case will provide me the protection I need for my 13” MacBook Air just to find out it doesn’t fit.

Careful before buying
When I purchased the sleeve, I initially loved it because it was sturdy, sleek, and appeared to protect my laptop. However, with normal wear, the bilateral elastic bands on the inside of the sleeve started to wear down/become lax causing the top of the case to flip over. This completely defeats the purpose of the case and I can no longer carry it around.

Bought for surface pro 6
I've used it for almost 3 years as a digital nomad. It has outlived my computer. I had one drop with it in carry-on dufflebag. Computer was undamaged. I do have a rubber case on the surface pro.

Unbelievably strong even if
While chatting with a business colleague I left the case with my MacAir 13" on the roof of my car. Yup! At the first corner it bend off the car roof (25kms/hr) and crashed to the road. I didn't know I had left it on the roof. My colleague following behind in her car stopped and picked it up. When I opened up the case fearing the worst my MacAir was unscathed and fired up straight away. 10/10 from me!!
