Spacious and sturdy, the Wawona 4 Tent offers a home-like camping experience with room to spread out

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"The Wawona 4 is my go-to for comfortable camping. The huge vestibule is a game-changer for storing gear or just hanging out when the weather turns. The setup is easy, ventilation is great, and the space inside feels more like a small cabin than a tent. It’s perfect for car camping trips when I want extra room without hassle."

When we set up camp, we want more than just a place to sleep—we want a basecamp for adventure. The North Face Wawona 4 Tent delivers just that, combining spacious comfort with durable, weather-ready construction. With enough room to stand up inside, stash all our gear, and even set up a cozy lounge area, this tent turns any campsite into a home away from home.

The extended front vestibule keeps our gear organized and protected, while large mesh windows and a top vent ensure we stay cool on warm nights. The sturdy DAC poles and waterproof fly give us confidence in unpredictable weather, whether we’re waiting out a storm or just enjoying a breezy mountain evening. When it’s time to pack up, the easy-pitch design means we’re on the road in no time, already planning the next adventure.

Perfect car camping tent

I have used this in torrential downpour and it kept me dry. Lots of room for me and my two dogs. I love having the extra storage space.

Worth it!

Hand down best thing we got for camping. A queen size air double mattress fits with plenty of space for our camping gear. Two entrances which is key for scaring the little ones.

Overall, it's okay

I used the tent for the first time last weekend. Due to a 15 mph wind, one of the poles bent, and the stakes came loose from the ground. I suggest getting 12 inch stakes.

Mesh entry door a failure of design

Perfect tent but mesh front door does not allow heat capture inside and wind causes horrible wind chill effect. Use only in warm climates!

Yes

The tent itself is great. The issue that we have is finding the footprint. There are none available. We had to use an old tarp. It works but I would like to have the pieces that are supposed to work together.
