Perfect liner for my North Face GORETEX
Full transparency: I’m not the biggest fan of the Denali look on its own. Super functional; not particularly stylish. So why did I buy it at such a steep price? To line my GORETEX shell jacket! And as far as that goes, it works flawlessly. The shell on its own is a just a fancy glorified windbreaker. The puffer option that zips in is simply too bulky—warmth and functionality aside. The Denali fleece is the perfect middle ground; it provides a soft, insulated inner shell without looking or feeling too bulky, and keeps me warm. All the while, the GORETEX shell offers weatherproofing and, in all serious, pure swagger. They’re a match made in heaven, if you will. And I must admire Backcountry for not only offering a wide variety of colors and sizes, but also the most generous welcome discount by far! Beat the price of every competitor I researched—North Face Official included. Very satisfied, and the comfort alone is worth the recommendation even if you don't need it for a shell.

Very cool
Bought this jacket for my brother. He loves it. Bought the all black in an XL. Fits great, well made, comfortable and perfect for the upcoming fall weather. Recommend.

I love this jacket!
I have both the all black, and the summit gold/black. The summit gold at first sheds a lot of yellow fuzzies from the material. It does get everywhere, but after a few washes and wears it's just fine! love the summit gold it's very nostalgic of the 90's.

Retro is back in style
The Retro Denali Jacket looks sharp, provides warmth during cooler weather, and has pit vents to keep the heat from building up. The jacket has a really nice feel to it. I've had some very positive comments on the jacket from coworkers and had to buy my wife one so mine didn't disappear. Don't buy one, buy two!

I will buy again. Although, it's Made to last.
This jacket is just as cool as it was when I wore it in the 90's. Mid weight and sturdy for stylish urban adventure or rugged moutain escape. I would not change a thing about it. The structural integrity, comfort and sporty look have held up through the decades.

Best jacket I've ever owned
This is a jacket for the ages: confy, warm, stylish. I haven't tried it in the mountains yet but it does have features that makes it pair with outer shells, so it must be good out there too
