The reviews for this duffel bag are overwhelmingly positive. Customers praise its great quality, durability, and spaciousness, noting it is suitable for a variety of uses like travel and outdoor activities. Some express disappointment with a recent design change that made the bag more difficult to carry, and a few wish for more small pockets and a single shoulder strap. Overall, the consensus is that this is an excellent, high-quality bag that is well worth the investment.

10 years and kicking....
Using it daily to transport footballs and gear to camps. I have been using it for family vacations as checked luggage for 4 of us. I stuff it to the gills, ends up right around weight limit of 50 pounds.

Works for a fireman
I use this bag to transport my turnouts, scba mask, extra jacket and hoodie, boots, and radio strap. I takes some Tetris skills, but love the bag.

Highly Recommend
This is an amazing bag! Just traveled around the globe with it and it withstood 9 flights and 28 days of traveling. It is also easy to pick out at baggage claim! I highly recommend and would by it or any of the sizes again. The North Face name does not disappoint!

It's a great product and very resistent.
It's a very large base camp duffel, it fits a lot of things and the material is resistant and waterproof, everything is fine with the purchase, it is a great investment. I'm going to climb Aconcagua Mountain in a few days and this Duffel will be very useful.

A simple, highly functional duffel
I bought this duffel on recommendation of a guide company for a 2-week mountaineering expedition in South America. It was an excellent choice, with a simple, single-compartment design that readily allowed me to flat-pack my 70-liter pack, store all my gear, and easily access everything. The design worked much better than my hard-bottom, wheeled duffel for airline handling, repeated stowage in 4-wheel-drive vehicles, and fitting into crammed buses. The straps were versatile without getting in the way of packing and unpacking. The materials and construction were substantive, at the cost of the bag being a little on the heavy side. By way of full disclosure, my daughter has a professional affiliation with North Face, but was not consulted about this purchase (which I made at full price at a local North Face store) or review.

XXL Missing the handles on other sizes
I haven't used this yet, and it's a replacement for an XL Basecamp bag that I used for decades. Seems to be almost identical but the one surprise on this bag is the missing top handles that are present on other basecamp bags. There are tightly fitted handles along the edge of the bags opening, but can only be used by hand. I enjoyed having the option of the bigger handles over my shoulder when the pack straps had to be removed for airline travel.
