Fantastic Design, A Little Mishappen

I purchased this Straw Woodrow hat because I enjoy wearing my other two Woodrow hats in firm wool. The Woodrow is a great 'cowboy light' design. The Shantung straw version is pretty well identical, including the slightly smaller size (I'm a size 7 1/8, 57 cm, 22 1/2 inches, but these hats stretch a little, so no issue with size Medium). Unlike another reviewer's experience, my hat arrived packed in a box with sealed air packs. However, nothing beats an actual Stetson box, as my straw hat was mishappen in various places. Nonetheless, it was undamaged, and with some careful reshaping, including a little steam, it looks good as new. The braided leather hat band with the brass Buffalo 5-cent pin and three brass keepers is a nice touch, though the pin is a little crooked. A nice summer hat with some cool details -- recommended.

Arrived Damaged

Familiarity:: I returned this product before using it

Shipped in just a plastic bag. Nothing protected this hat from getting misshapen, and the straw arrived damaged with bad creases. Backcountry needs to ship these hats more carefully.
