Classic Bibshort - Men's

Summary: Good, better than basic bib short. Runs true to size. Size runs large compared to other Sportful/Castelli shorts. Detailed Comments: Sportful and Castelli are owned by the same company. The size charts are currently identical between the two brands of clothing. I've been using Castelli since 2013, and I started using Sportful in 2022. Per both size charts I should fit a medium short, but in the past I found the recommended medium size to be a bit tight. So, I've typically used the large size with Castelli and Sportful shorts. With the Sportful Classic bib short, the large size was too big; I had to go down to the medium. The medium was a snug fit to start, but I adjusted to it easily. So, I think that the Sportful Classic bib short runs true to size. The medium size Sportful Classic's leg length fits me about 2/3rds of the way down the thigh. This length is a bit longer than my large Castelli Entrata shorts and my large Sportful 2022 Fiandre shorts; both of these fit a bit past halfway down the thigh. I've typically had Castelli shorts pull a bit (get tight) on the inside of my left leg at the top of the pedal stroke. This pulling problem is nonexistent in the Sportful Classic short. This is a welcome improvement ! The Sportful seat pad is a comfortable, thin, basic pad. It is quite comparable to the Castelli Kiss seat pad. I've found the Castelli Kiss pad to be perfectly adequate (including century rides), and I expect the same with the Sportful pad. Buying the Sportful Classic bib short has prompted me to rethink my Castelli/Sportful sizing. For my future bib short and bib tight purchases, I will likely buy both medium and large sizes and I'll then decide on the final sizing after test fitting both. I bought one pair of Sportful Classic bibs to start, and I've since purchased another two pairs.
