Here's what customers have to say

The winter boots are praised for their durability, warmth, and suitability for outdoor activities in cold and snowy conditions. Many reviewers report the boots have kept their feet dry and comfortable for years. However, some found the boots too heavy and clunky, and a few noted issues with the boots not providing enough warmth in very cold temperatures or the rubber cracking over time. Overall, the boots are considered a reliable and long-lasting winter footwear option by most customers.

Stop 🛑

I purchased them for my son. He is a student where they have harsh winters. Walking through the snow and other wintry conditions was a problem without the proper protection. I purchased them six months ago. He wore them a couple of months before I personally stored them. I am packing up his winter gear to ship to him and the soles of the shoes are hanging off. The rubber around the shoe is loose. I purchased Sorel because the quality of their shoes was once the best. As I am searching for a new pair of snow boots for my son and also my daughter who is now about to face the same challenges, I am disappointed that I can not depend on Sorel.

Rugged, well built, and warm

I purchased a pair of these (Caribou model) in 1992 at the Denver store and have used them ever since. Rugged, well built, warm boots. My feet have never been cold wearing them. I did replace the felt liner in 2012. Highly recommended.

Hope for another 20 years

I've used it several times

My last pair of Sorels lasted 20 years. After several new liners, it was time for a new pair. When these went on sale, the decision was made. 😬. I hoe to get 20 years of of the new pair. They seem like the expected Sorel high quality so far. I unintentionally ordered these before the biggest snow storm of the decade. Unfortunately the storm caused shipping delays, so the boots arrived after most of the snow was gone 🤔.

bad materials

rubber cracks and lets water in, kind of defeats the purpose of a waterproof boot.

Southern Boys thoughts now that am unable to go bare foot in winter

Being a Transplant from coast of North Carolina to Massachusetts in the early sixties. I learned very quickly that the Sorel Caribou boot was the Best way to keep feet dry and relatively warm in the Great white Tundra of the North East states. Although the prices continue to increase for them. I have had I pair in 65 years that didn't give at least ten plus years. That pair was damaged by my me by resting a razor tipped arrow head on rubber portion of the boot. It didn't even cut all the way through. I can't say enough good things about theses boots. This company work manship or quality

Exceptional quality

Bought these to replace the pair my husband was issued when we were in Antarctica in 1993. Hopefully, these will last as long as that pair! He swears by them for winter warmth and comfortable wear.

Order 1/2 Down

If you’re looking for a cozy winter boot this is a good one! Order a 1/2 size smaller than your regular size, trust me! The liner used makes the boot bigger so the 1/2 down is necessary. Now that I have the sizing figured out it fits perfect. I’ve been using this boot almost every day while out in Victor/Jackson area and loving it. The only time my feet have been cold was when I was not wearing wool socks and doing a lot of standing. Once I got to moving around a bit I was good to go. I have not had them long, but so far the boot does everything well that I wanted/needed so far. Definitely going to grab my wife a pair.

leaky boot

Bought pr of Caribou stack boots style 1923611 in 2/2021. have worn them 10 times, today I discovered the rubber on top of boot has cracked allowing water to enter boot, VERY POOR QUALITY. Last pr of Sorels lasted 20 years, these are junk, would not recommend.
