Flawed design, but executed perfectly

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

Like all snow peak gear, this is a beautifully made piece of kit. Unfortunately, the tall aspect ratio makes it terrible as a kettle. It captures so little heat energy off a stove, it takes forever to boil or even heat water. It feels like 80% of a stove's heat just misses it off the side. It also doesn't have any type of whistle to indicate when water is boiling (no camp kettle I know of has this feature) - that would be nice to save fuel when you're multitasking. It holds and pours well, and works as a pitcher.
