Customer Images

Here's what customers have to say

The product is generally well-received, with customers praising the sharp blades, magnetic fly threader, and overall quality. Many find the nippers convenient and easy to use, especially for tying on small flies. However, some customers have experienced issues such as magnets falling out, hinge sticking, and blades dulling quickly. There are also concerns about the high price point, with some feeling the nippers are overpriced for the durability and longevity. While a high-quality product, there are some quality control and durability concerns that some customers have experienced.

Pro nippers

Work great. The fly threader is worth the money by itself

Good nippers

Great design and function. The blades chip a little easier that expected.

Like Butter

The Pro Nippers are the best Simms nippers to date. They cut easily thru 5x to 60# leader and hold up for years in the Saltwater.

Nippers

Great nippers. Sharp and the jaws align so you don’t have to find that “sweet” spot that will cut your tippet regardless of its diameter. This is my second pair.

High speed little nippers

These things are great! Very well made, and versatile. Love the fly treading feature. Only downside I can see is that the nippers are not very sharp. They seem very flattened and dull. My other nippers, and even regular nail clippers have a much easier time cutting flouro.

Pro Nippers

The cheater system to thread eyes for tying small bugs is well worth it.

Should have just paid $10 more at Simms.

I figured I would spoil myself and order these because I loved the idea of the nipper having a system to help me tie on tiny flies. Backcountry sent me a cheap pair of nippers instead. My first attempt to get this rectified i was told the item was backordered and the correct item will be sent within a week when new stock arrives. I asked for an email to confirm this and one was sent. A month later still no replacement. Called again and was now told I will have the item in a week but need to return the nippers that were sent by mistake. So now two twenty minute phone calls later and thetime needed to return the cheap nippers Im sorry I didn't just go on the Simms website and order these nippers direct.

Pretty but underwhelming

Overall good but expensive. I would buy them again if they cut braid - but they don’t. They need tungsten carbide replaceable blades otherwise they are just another piece of fancy average nippers.
