Spacious, water-resistant fishing vest with 26 pockets for all-day organization and comfort

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"The Guide Vest keeps everything I need within reach, so I can spend more time fishing and less time digging through my gear. With 26 pockets, I can organize all my tackle, leaders, and tools without feeling weighed down. The ventilated, padded collar and mesh shoulders keep me comfortable on long days, and the third-hand rod holder is a lifesaver when I need both hands free to tie a knot or handle a fish."

We wade into the river with confidence, knowing the Simms Guide Vest has everything we need within reach. Designed for full-day fishing adventures, this vest features 26 thoughtfully placed pockets, giving us quick access to flies, leaders, tools, and more. The third-hand rod holder secures our rod when we need both hands to land a fish or swap out a fly, keeping our focus on the water.

Built for comfort as much as function, the Guide Vest features a ventilated, padded collar and cushioned mesh shoulders that distribute weight evenly for all-day wear. The water-resistant finish helps keep gear dry, while multiple tool attachment points and built-in retractors ensure everything stays organized and accessible. Whether casting from dawn to dusk or hiking to remote waters, this vest keeps us ready for whatever the river offers.

Great vest.

Great vest well made. Second one I have owned. First one lasted 15-20 years. Still usable but pockets on back of vest have started to dry rot.

Buy this vest!

This is a great vest. I replaced my Orvis Battenkill Guide vest (discontinued). I really liked that vest. The Simms vest is just as good. Many places to store gear. As with any vest, once you get familiar with everything is, it is an effortless task to retrieve any item. Ive tried sling packs but have come back to a vest. Another great feature is that it is cut high so no soggy pockets when crossing/fishing higher water. For cold weather fishing and wearing heavier clothes, this vest has a very clever elastic clip that expands the waist circumference of the vest. I highly recommend this vest to anyone considering a vest purchase.

This is an amazing vest

I just got this vest in the mail today. I wish I’d bought it several years ago. I’m amazed at all the useful features, and can’t wait to fish with it. It’s not cheap but as with my Simms waders, boots, and wading jacket, it’s the last one I’ll ever need.

On River Mastery…

I fly fish and guide in the high Rockies of Colorado. I choose to fish in a vest because it keeps all my gear at the ready and organized… I am prepared and ready for everything the high mountain water sends my way. All of fly boxes and tackle are right where they belong. My Guide Vest facilities ready access to the essentials in an instant… In my world that is essential… I fish better because of it!

Best Vest

Has more room and pockets than needed…but somehow I seem to use them all.
