Incredibly short tapered sleeves - beware!

The sleeves of the large G4 pro wading jacket are prohibitively short compared to other jackets in an equivalent size. Noticeably annoying while double hand casting restricting range of motion. The sleeves of my large Fall Run Hybrid jacket are longer than this shell which make laying and staying water tight very difficult. The next size up is no better.

Awesome jacket

Had almost given up on finding a rain jacket that keeps you dry. This one does it. Have taken it steelheading multiple days in a row where it rained all day and not a drop of water got in. Feels like a pair of waders but lighter and more breathable.

G4 Pro wading Jacket

Best wading jacket ever. Love the sleeve cuff wraps being on the outside of the cuff. It doesn’t scoop water that runs down your back when you are landing a fish.

Any weather any time

Excellent well designed jacket. Completely weatherproof. I have worn in high winds with torrential downpour and styed completely dry. Good wrist closures and full coverage hood. Packs down small as well. Great pieces become invaluable when the weather turns nasty. Medium is roomy on me so I am able to add plenty of layers underneath.

Great rain protection

I have owned a lot of rain jackets and this is the best one I’ve owned. Clean design helps with stuff getting caught up and a good number of pockets for the things I need to keep on my person during a storm. Great job Simms!

Top of the Line Jacket

You can tell there was a lot of thought around the design of this jacket. From the entry pockets allowing access to wader pockets to the storage pockets for flies, leaders amp; other items. Having a loop on the back for a net sure makes this jacket a light option versus a vest or a pack. Haven’t used it in a rain storm yet but not concerned.

Monsoon proof

After cheaping out on numerous other un insulated rain jackets that leaked after a hard rain I finally bought the G4 Pro. I’m several monsoons in with this coat and zero leaks. Plus it’s comfortable and loaded with great pockets and features. Thank you Simms!

Solid well designed jacket - a definite improvement

I have only worn a few times but last time it was raining hard and gusting over 40. The jacket kept me completely dry. Very nice wrist closures, clever storage spaces inside the pockets. The pass through pockets are very hand for accessing layers under the shell. Looks great and easily passes as an everyday rain shell. May run a tad large
