Why We Like The G3 Guide Stockingfoot Wader
If you spend more of your waking moments submerged mid-thigh in a river casting out to sipping fish like we do, then invest in the G3 Guide Stockingfoots Wader. Simms' exclusive 5-layer Gore-Tex Pro fabric is found in the seat, waist, and throughout the leg for rugged durability and absolute protection, and there's 3-layer Gore-Tex Pro in the upper part for greater comfort and breathability. The G3 Guide is designed to easily convert to a waist-high wader for versatility in any fishing environment while articulated knees ensure maximum comfort and mobility as you reel in your catch.

Here's what customers have to say
The waders are generally well-received, with customers praising the great fit, durability, comfort, and breathability. Reviewers report the waders kept them dry and warm even in harsh conditions. The new model is described as having a sleek, tapered fit with more room compared to previous versions. Customers appreciate the suspended system that prevents straps from digging into the neck or shoulders. However, some negative reviews mention issues with leaky booties, quality control problems, and shorter lifespan compared to previous models. A few customers also found the sizing to be off. Overall, the waders are considered high-quality and comfortable, though some customers have experienced durability and fit problems with the latest iteration.

Alaska tough
Took my new waders to Alaska and had a wonderfully dry experience. These waders plus a Simms rain coat proved bullet proof in the Alaska wind and rain we experienced. I was super happy with my purchase.

Awesome Waders
Bought these for a trip to AK and they definitely didn't disappoint! The ability to use the sizing chart to get your perfect fit makes all the difference in the world. I have an older set of Freestone waders and they're also great, but the quality and durability of the G3's is worth the price. I paired them with the Flyweight boots - Vibram and will tell you these are very nice boots and the weight savings is incredible. Highly recommend both products!

Great set of waders
I have had Freestones for years and I decided to take the plunge with a G3. Let me say, I am so glad I did. These are life changing and I will never go back. They are breathable yet keep you warm at the same time. Excellent craftsmanship again from Simms!

Buy everything Simms EXCEPT waders
2nd pair of G3’s. The first last YEARS I wanna say 7 or so. The new model is trash. Leaking and the booties and the knees. Sent in for warranty or repair and they said it wasn’t manufacture issue. I’ve loved everything Simms, but their waders have turned to junk. Fly shops in Dutch John, Denver among others are all dropping Simms for this reason. Their other gear seems to still be solid but go buy Orvis or Grunden waders

Great waders, and easy returns.
The waders i ordered were just too small in the foot. I returned them, which was very easy to take care of. My refund came quickly and I had a another pair in the right size by the end of the week. They fit great and I love my new g3s. The only thing I would like to have on them is some sort of elastic straps built in to cinch around the top of the chest. Overall I would recommend them to any fly fisher I know.
