Why We Like The G3 Guide Jacket
Whether or not you spend upwards of 300 days a year on the water, you want gear that won't let you down when you do get to spend some quality time on the river. With its three-layer GORE-TEX shell, the Simms G3 Guide jacket handles everything from drizzly days on the Olympic Peninsula to storm days in the Rockies. A burly 70-denier face fabric resists the wear and tear only a river can dish out, while its fully adjustable hood lets you hunker down when the rains fall on a slant. We appreciate how the water-resistant Dry Cuffs seal out water when you release your catch, and the myriad pockets along the front of the jacket give you a place to keep a couple of fly boxes close at hand.

Here's what customers have to say
The jacket is described as durable, waterproof, and well-suited for fishing in wet and windy conditions. Reviewers praised its ability to keep them dry, even in harsh weather, and noted its comfort, breathability, and useful features like pockets. However, some felt it lacked an important feature like a D-ring for attaching a net. Overall, the jacket is considered a high-quality option by many experienced anglers, though a few felt it was overpriced compared to similar products.

Medium
Impossible to have a jacket without D ring on the back . . . always when there is a change it is worse. Tha jacket looks like it was designed by non-fisherman

quot;Shingled Cuffquot; a deal killer
Good jacket but the quot;shingled cuffquot; or no velcro on outside of sleeve causes the sleeve hang too far over the hands (see the model in the picture). I get idea of no snags, but not functional

Great Jacket
Looks great, perfect for wade fishing in Texas. Blocks the wind and will keep you warm if you are layered up. Highly recommend the G3 wading jacket.

d-ring, please
Any jacket with no D-ring for the net on the back is no-go for me… you have some sort of a loop on the back of your waders, so why not on the jacket? …once you put the jacket over you waders - you loose the loop…:male_sign: …btw you may want to have a D-rind instead of a loop on your waders as well… but “I’m not complaining, just venting out”… :slightly_smiling:

Missing D-ring
Great jacket but a big minus is the missing D-ring for the net on the back.

not that good
the waders were comfortable and fit well. however, they did leak a little bit and i had to send them back. this was after very limited use. probably 3 hrs. of water time. holding my breath for the second pair (no pun intended).

G3 wading jacket
Keeps me dry in the extreme wind and rain of Kodiak Alaska. Breathable in warmer temps. A must have.
