You learn by yoir mistakes
I bought the Simms Nippers. Plastic ones. Won't cut tippet. A total waste of money. I should have bought the expensive one which I know cuts very well.

Cheaply made
Didnt last very long, the blade eats away at the bottom of the nipper, poor design

Nips for the serious fisher
Very sharp and ultimately, lightweight around my neck. I utilized a small key ring to hang them from lanyard. Perhaps it would be nice to see a ring included in the nips.... but not a big deal for me.

Not great
I agree with some other negative ratings. Worked great for a week or two, but they are difficult to work with now. I don’t know if the hard plastic bottom is the problem or they’re just super dull already. I expected more from these since they are Simms.

Sucky
These nippers were great for about two weeks. Duller than a Lions vs raiders game now

Cheap but expensive.
Cheap plastic, no hook eyelet poker. Way overpriced.
