A good option for flats fishing
After using various slings and packs, Im always faced with the same issue of how to find what I need on the bottom of the jumbled mess at the bottom of my pack. I also like to keep my camera handy and accessible and hate having to stop and dig out of a backpack. Ive never been a vest guy but maybe the fly weight vest is changing my mind about the virtues of a vest. I end up keeping my camera in the chest pocket where its easy to get to and the lower zip pockets are perfect for traveling light by carrying just the right amount of gear. Also plenty of options to attach items that get heavy use. Very light weight and packs down really small for travel. The vest is not waterproof but thats nothing that a small dry bag cant fix if you need to keep something dry. Dry bags are great until you put something wet inside of them. Im curious to see how practical this vest is to use on a hot day on the flats. Another well thought-out product from Simms
