What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"The Flyweight Access Boot is a game-changer for anglers who cover serious ground. It’s incredibly lightweight, drains fast, and the Vibram Idrogrip Flex sole grips like nothing else on wet rocks. The welded TPU overlays add durability where it’s needed, and the neoprene lining makes them comfortable for long days on the water. If you want a boot that moves with you from trail to river, this is it."
Long approaches, slick riverbeds, and endless casts—the Flyweight Access Boot is built for anglers who refuse to stay in one spot. Designed with a Vibram Idrogrip Flex sole, this boot provides industry-leading wet-slip resistance, giving us confidence on moss-covered rocks and fast-moving currents.
The lightweight, non-absorbent mesh upper drains quickly, while welded TPU overlays reinforce high-abrasion areas for added durability. Supportive webbing lacing hardware ensures a secure fit, and the full neoprene foam lining keeps things comfortable through long wading sessions. Whether we’re trekking deep into the backcountry or hopping from hole to hole, this boot delivers the grip, comfort, and stability we need to chase fish anywhere.

Good Boots, No Issues!
Great boots for summer or winter. Wish the laces were longer, but that it is easier to replace. I added 1/2 size to my regular shoe size to account for the waders, no issues.

Great if you have gout
I love these boots! I have 2 pairs. One for my waders and a smaller size for my daily use. I wear them all the time. ( I recently got a gout attack and they are a lifesaver they have a lot of room up front that I can actually walk around in them. I know the gout stuff is a bit random but hope this can help someone. They are awesome boots highly recommend them

Good boot but…
Bought these a year or so ago. They have worked well - good support but lightweight. However, recently the material has faded and I am unsure of their durability. I contacted Simms and they assured me it was not an issue. Ive never had that type of fading and wear with other boots. Time will tell

Disappointed with these boots
This is what my boots like like after their first trip (a mild morning on one of our local trout streams outside Cape Town).

Fit/performed well out of box but poor durability
I have fished these boots for the last 7 months. I typically fish 1-3 days a week on mountain freestone streams in east Tennessee and western North Carolina. I use these boots for fishing roadside streams or on short (3-5 miles round trip) hikes into backcountry streams. When heading deeper into the backcountry, I packed the boots, as I have read reviews that long hikes quickly wear the tread down. Fit, comfort, and weight were initially great out of the box. Traction was pretty good, too; better than normal rubber but not quite as good as felt. After about 3 months the traction was shot which made wading tedious and slower-going than I prefer. The fabric around the sides of the boot and toebox also began to fray, and at this point there are basically holes in the sides of the boot. They are falling apart. Unfortunately, I cant recommend these boots to anyone. At this price, they shouldnt be practically non-functional and falling apart after a season of fishing.

Avoid , expensive and not up to the job!
Absolute rubbish, fell apart in six months. Had them repaired by their repairer and they have fallen to pieces again. Cmon Simms I thought you were better than this!

Light and Comfortable
I bought them for wet wading - I added aluminum cleats and they are great. Only negative is when adding the cleats you have to cut away some of the sole treads - small cost.

Simms Gear Litty
The boots are great (I wear 10.5 shoe, bought the size 11 boots) and fit well. The chest waders are high quality and fit well too.
