Upwell Waterproof Heated Cycle Glove keeps hands warm, dry, and in control with adjustable heat for winter rides

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"This glove transformed my winter road training. I can dial in the heat, and the waterproofing is surprisingly legit for wet commutes. The battery lasts longer than my longest rides—no more frigid fingers on freezing mornings."

Upwell Waterproof Heated Cycle Glove is built for the coldest and wettest cycling days—blending a weatherproof membrane, goatskin palm, and three heat settings for dialed warmth. The rechargeable battery lasts up to six hours, so our hands stay toasty on extended routes. A soft, grippy palm keeps precise feel on bars and levers even with thick insulation, while Primaloft Gold lining enhances warmth by reflecting radiant heat back inside the glove. With quick-charging ports and smart placement for the battery, these gloves keep us in the saddle all winter, no matter what the forecast says.

Warm but bulky

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

These gloves are winners on keeping your hands warm. They have 3 levels of warmth, the highest is noticeably warm, too much for normal riding IMO, level 2 keeps the cold away and is my standard setting, level 1 is barely noticeable. The palm is thin and unheated for good contact to the handle bar but does not seem waterproof to me. The back of the glove has pretty bulky insulation, and is waterproof. It is as insulated as you ever see in a cycling glove so even with the heat off you get a lot of cold protection. The batteries are in the cuffs which makes them somewhat bulky as well. Charging is through two slick magnetic charging ports on the outside of the glove so you don’t need to disassemble them to charge. I usually wear an XXL glove but that was not available here. The XL is a bit small for me, but useable and it seems like a standard XL size. I have not tested the battery life extensively as my winter rides tend to be shorter but you certainly get a couple hours of warmth at level 3 and obviously more at level 2.

Upwell Waterproof Heated Cycle Glove

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

These gloves never worked. Turned on for a minute then never worked again. I tried charging the battery with no luck. They do run small. I normally order a large and they were very tight,

Fit small

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it

Measured hand and ordered according to the posted sizing guide, and the gloves are definitely too small. Also not sure there is enough flexibility between thumb and forefinger for these to be considered cycling-specific gloves.

Heated gloves

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Maybe I’m being too critical but on a ride with “real feel in the teens” the gloves did not last very long on the hottest setting. These are not cheap and I expected at least a 2 hour duration and they were on full charge.
