When the climbs are steep and the descents are rowdy, we reach for the Santa Cruz Vala C XT Di2 E-Bike. Built around the Carbon C frame with mixed wheel sizes, the Vala gives us the rollover confidence of a 29er up front and the flickable control of a 27.5-inch rear. With the Bosch Performance CX motor and 600Wh battery, we’re able to stretch our trail days farther, climb more efficiently, and explore lines we’d normally reserve for shuttles.
