Why We Like The Salomon XT 15L Set

The Salomon XT 15L Set provides ultra-stable support to keep our gear secure while we train for long-distance trail runs. The pack is designed with vest-style shoulder straps and a dedicated pocket for the included soft flask water bottle. At 15 liters, the bag offers room for our nutrition and layers, with a hydration sleeve that accommodates a reservoir of up to 2 liters. The improved back panel features plush, breathable padding, and the adjustable belt and chest straps keep the pack firmly in place as we bounce over rocky terrain. A plethora of pockets offer convenient storage for our trekking poles, snacks, phones, and GPS, and the elastic cord system on the front panel can be adjusted to haul extra gear or balance our bag.

Light and durable

I bought this and I really like the lightweight materials that are also very durable.

Fits well, but not durable

I love the way this pack fits, love zero shoulder pain after hours of wear, but the point where the shoulder strap meets the pack has ripped on two different packs. I tried to sew the first one, and also bought another. The second pack ripped in the same spot.

My go-to

This bag strikes the perfect balance between a standard daypack and a running vest. I love that it includes a soft flask that fits snugly into the front elastic pocket, making it easy to stay hydrated on the go. It’s incredibly lightweight and features mesh ventilation for added comfort.

Comfortable pack with one major flaw

I wanted to like this pack as it generally sits comfortably and snug and seems great for run commuting, hiking and cycling. The back panel is cushy and the material is super lightweight. However, when hanging a full hydration reservoir inside the designated loop on the inside, the top part of the pack collapses into a fold due to the lack of structure. The fold gets uncomfortable and annoying for the upper back really quickly. Seems like a major design issue to me. Also, all the straps are so stiff that they need two hands to adjust which can get bothersome when running or cycling.
