This is my third pair of Speedcross shoes and I couldn't be happier. They fit true to size, are super comfortable and supportive and are an excellent all around shoe. I use them for hiking and everyday town walking - super satisfied

Multigenerational excellence!
I'm in my middle 50's and have been wearing Salomon's for about 10 years. They not only fit great and break in evenly, they also look great on "an old man" who goes to the gym and doesn't look like he's trying too hard to "fit in" with his shoeware.

Great
These actually help my running form. My legs are like rolling through stride. Compared to my previous shoes, before I was more like stomping my shins into the ground. And I can maintain a run for longer too. I wouldn't typically expect this from a shoe, nor even believe it if i read it in a review, lol, but here it is. My only complaint is that they run large. I ordered half a size down for a snug fit, but they're half a size too big. Oh, and the darn material pulls my socks down my heel. :[

Change to production???
There's something that's changed in the fabric on the inside of the heel cup for both the regular and the GTX shoe. The durability has decreased dramatically. I buy 3 pair every 4 months, rotate regularly. I run every day, often more than once a day, and have been doing so for >7 years. This sneaker is my always (since the SC4), and I can tell that something's changed such that the milage has dropped by about 25-30% (used to be 300-350 miles before heel cup damage and often the tread would degrade first), now I'm seeing heel cup on different colors/styles within the first month.

Comfortable and durable
Salomon has the best adventures shoes and this one is no exception! I tried every famous brand but Salomon is in a whole another level! Speedcross was fantastic and met my expectations.
