Why We Like The Sense Ride 4 Trail Running Shoe
To feel the trail in a whole new way, we lace into the Sense Ride 4 Trail Running Shoe. The energetic foam helps mute the vibrations of our strikes to reduce energy leaks, while a stabilizing midsole film smooths our stride, giving us a distraction-free ride. As we bound atop rocks and roots, the midfoot-hugging ghillie lacing and snug inner sleeve support our feet yet still lets them flex naturally, injecting confidence and speed into our transitions.

Here's what customers have to say
The Salomon Sense Ride 5 is a comfortable and well-cushioned trail running shoe that provides good traction on various terrains. Many users praise the shoe's fit, with a roomy toe box and secure lacing system. The outsole offers reliable grip, though it may struggle in very muddy conditions. The midsole is described as responsive and suitable for runs of any distance. However, some reviewers had issues with the insoles moving around or wearing down quickly. Overall, the shoe is considered a solid all-around trail runner, though it may not be the best choice for highly technical trails.

Great for Ultra's
Had some issues in the past with blistering from rub spots on other brands shoes. In trying them on, felt they were snug enough to avoid rub, but loose enough to allow the feet to swell. Held up over 100K with almost NO foot issues. Buying a 2nd pair for my next 100K ultra.

Great buy
The most comfortable running shoes I've ever worn. Put them on and you immediately want to run. Designed for trail running, but not bad on the road either.

Confortable, quick and easy to put on. I like the lace system. Would buy a second pair to keep going on the same model for longer time.

Quality has changed.
I hiked the PCT 2 years ago with this model shoes. This spring I brought 3+ pair to hike the Continental Divide Trail. After just under 400 miles I left the trail because of foot problems. After experience w several pairs I feel this latest pair failed me. My feet were very sensitive and developed blisters uncharactistic of prior pairs. I don't know if I brought unisex version or some other change in the model but in my opinion the sole has changed in duribility, softness, and thickness. It appeared to breakdown faster and punished my feet more.
