Why We Like The Sense Ride 4 Invisible GTX Trail Running Shoe
We step into the Sense Ride 4, pull the laces tight, and slip through the trees for soul-reviving strides atop singletrack. The tight-knit mesh and flexible membrane stop debris and puddles from finding a way in while still letting our feet breathe and flex freely as they hop around roots and leap over caterpillar crossings. We easily find a flow with the lightweight foam underfoot softening our landings and rolling us into powerful toe offs, staving off fatigue as we venture beyond the summit.

The trail running shoes are generally well-received, with many praising the exceptional craftsmanship, comfortable fit, and great traction. Several customers noted the shoes run small and recommended going up half a size. The waterproof version is praised for keeping feet dry, though some found the non-waterproof version more comfortable. A few reviewers experienced issues with the fit or durability, but overall the shoes seem to provide a smooth and light ride for most users.

Excellent trail runners at a good price.
I needed to go half a size up to accommodate my feet in the narrow toe box. However the fit is excellent and the shoes do the job perfectly on the coastal trails that I run. These have been used in all conditions and have performed perfectly. No issues at all.

Very comfortable
The fit is amazing, very well cushioned and light and the grip is great. They do seem to have less support on the arch and feel like I may need to add some support insteps to level my feet out, they are classed as neutral but feel that they lack a bit of stability.

Fantastic grip
Excellent overall shoe for west coast trail running. The only minor downside is the tongue seems thicker than the three previous models making the shoe feel a bit clunky

Very Small, Highly Inaccurate Sizing,Off by 1 Size
The shoes are off by 1 size and Not 0.5 size. I have extremely narrow feet for a man, and I wear size 10. Even if I had ordered 10.5 shoe, they would still be too small by another half size. Not sure how did the Salomon manufacturing team got the shoe sizing this wrong. This is why I dislike shopping online for shoes and slides. The manufacturing date on the shoe is 03/23 and it’s now 03/25. 2 year old stock? Other than that the shoes are lightweight, outer sole is solid and lace system is convenient.

Solid Trail Runner/Everyday Shoe
I purchased my first pair of the Sense Ride 5 GTX almost two years ago and bought another pair to replace them. (The fact that I purchased them a second time tells you something already) I have never had a pair of shoes fit better than the Sense Ride series, and the 5's are no exception. I have spent hours hiking, running, and walking in these shoes, and I have no complaints. They support my foot well and allow for a plush-yet sensitive feel. The previous pair I owned worked well, but after two years of steady wear the tread was mostly gone of the front and the fabric where the heel enters the shoe was ripped and worn (I still have the shoes and they are perfectly wearable). I had a slight problem a few months ago with the bottom rubber starting to peel off slightly, although a bit of shoe glue purchased from the hardware store fixed the issue. Overall I like the shoes and I couldn't be happier! P.S. Yes, they are waterproof, I have intentionally stepped in many puddles just to show off, and the only time my foot got wet was when the water went above the shoe, drowning my socks and my dignity)

Toe box is tight, great waterproofing however.
I generally run my size with others brands (Columbia, TNF, etc...) and have no issues, however these were a little tight on the tips of my toes. After some wear, it got significantly better and holy cow is the grip and waterproofing good.
