We ride the Rocky Mountain Growler 40 Mountain Bike when we want simplicity without compromise. Built around a solid 6061 alloy frame with progressive geometry, this hardtail encourages us to go bigger, corner harder, and take on techier lines with confidence. The 140mm Suntour Raidon fork up front gives us the freedom to charge into the rough stuff, while the 29 x 2.6in tires deliver corner-carving grip and plush rollover on rooty singletrack.

With its Shimano Deore 12-speed drivetrain, wide-range SunRace cassette, and durable WTB wheels, the Growler 40 balances reliability with shredability. Clarks M2 brakes keep our speed in check, and the Rocky Mountain dropper post lets us transition from climb mode to descend mode at a moment's notice.
