Powerflex Plus 50YD Tippet

The strongest nylon tippet material ever made.

RIO'S Powerflex Plus Tippet is the strongest nylon tippet material ever made, with tensile strengths up to 20% more than regular tippet. A highly technical formulation of the nylon copolymer manufacturing process has resulted in this prodigious strength increase, without compromising knot strength or suppleness. Simply put, this is the strongest, most reliable tippet ever made.

Powerflex Plus is available in "regular" sized spools and in a useful, money-saving "3-pack" option (3 regular sized spools, conveniently packaged in a handy plastic tub):

End of the Line

As with the other Rio tippet I reviewed, this Powerflex Plus performed well, and I was able to take several nice-sized rainbows fishing with my Wetfly Tenkara rod.

Great tippet

Just started using the 5x Plus. So far so good. A little pricey but not as expensive as flourocarbon. And the weught ratings are close. Holds a knot well and is supple. I'll update if I have any problems. I think it's worth trying.
