Tieten Jacket—warm, technical, snow-day comfort for young explorers

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"The Tieten Ski Jacket is our choice for sending kids onto the hill in comfort. It layers well for busy chairlift days, the waterproofing and insulation are winter-tough, and the powder skirt and thumbhole cuffs really lock out the snow. Pockets and venting make it easy to store ski passes and ditch excess heat for endless laps."

We trust the Tieten Jacket to let kids focus on fun, not on the cold. Every detail is built around lasting warmth, all-day comfort, and top-flight weatherproofing—from the fully taped seams and waterproof recycled fabric to the 100% recycled insulation that locks in cozy heat through cold spells and powder days.

Ski-specific features like the pants connector, snow lock, and easy-access pass pocket are dialed for family days on the slopes, while the adjustable hood and cuffs adapt to sudden flurries or quick changes in weather. The regular fit, roomy sleeves, and ventilation zips keep movement easy and comfort high—even when the fun doesn't stop until last chair.

Nice but Fits Small

This is a nice jacket and seems warm, but based on the sizing and recommendation on the website that there’s no need to size up, I’m disappointed. My son is solidly in 6 clothes, and so I bought a size 6, since the wording suggested it would almost be like a 7. Definitely not the case. It just to say fits, and we have to use the side zipper to extend it out. There’s also a smell to the coat from manufacturing that my sensitive-smeller definitely notices. We needed it right away though, so sadly we’ll likely get the rest of this winter out of it and then we’ll sell it to hopefully recoup some of the cost.

The Best

We've been buying Reima winter jackets, snowsuits, hats etc. for our kids since 2015. You can't go wrong with Reima. Are the jackets warm? Yes. Are they stylish? Yes. Are the jackets long lasting? Yes. Are they made with quality materials? Yes. They're simply the best and we've thought about trying other brands but because we know that we'll be buying quality with Reima we don't even bother looking elsewhere.
