The Petzl Volta Dry 9.2mm Rope is built for climbers who want one rope that can handle it all—alpine missions, ice routes, and long trad lines. With triple certification for use as a single, half, or twin rope, it gives us unmatched versatility in a lightweight, compact package.

The UltraSonic finish and Duratec Dry treatment add durability and moisture resistance, keeping the rope performing well through varied conditions and repeated use. Nice Rope

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

The Petzl Volta at 70m is definitely lighter than my 10mm @60m. I have only now received it and tried it on a short climb, it ties nice clean knots and rappels fine. Not big on the color, but believe that this will end up being my go rope for next spring. Thanks Backcountry for the quick service.

Hard wearing and great Handling.

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

For most, we don?t think of a 9.2mm rope as hard wearing. However, I?m genuinely impressed in how well the Volta has held up after nearly a year of use. I initially purchased it for long multipitch ice and rock routes where I didn?t want dental floss, but also didn?t want to lug up a 10mm rope that would weigh as much as a ship anchor after a day of climbing on wet snow and ice. The 9.2 Volta struck a nice balance between weight, handling, and durability. It has survived terrain belays, sharp choss, sea cliff edges and dozens of late night dripping wet ice. I highly recommend this rope and I can assure you you don?t need to baby it. Petzl really outdid themselves with this rope
