Vigor Midweight Sensor Glove offers breathable warmth and touchscreen control for cool-weather pursuits

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"I wear the Vigor Midweight Sensor Glove for shoulder season runs, hikes, and dog walks. They're warm enough for chilly starts, breathable when I warm up, and the touchscreen fingers actually work—no need to rip them off to check a map or change a song."

We stay active when the temperatures dip, and the Outdoor Research Vigor Midweight Sensor Glove is the perfect layer for those in-between days. Ideal for high-output movement in cool conditions, this glove balances breathable warmth, moisture-wicking performance, and touchscreen functionality so we can stay connected and comfortable on the move.

Built with bluesign®-approved stretch fleece and a brushed interior, the Vigor Midweight delivers next-to-skin softness and thermal efficiency without overheating. The silicone palm print adds grip, while the snap-together glove clips keep the pair secure in your pack or pocket. Whether we’re trail running, hiking, or commuting, this glove handles the chill without slowing us down.

Pill horribly when used with poles

These gloves pill horribly when used with hiking or cross country ski poles and should not be used for this purpose. I am disappointed with them as I use poles frequently. I bought them this winter and used them less than 10 times.

delivers on fit and comfort, sensor lacking

These gloves fit my fat, subby fingers well. I needed a lightweight glove for active time out on the ice and for warmer days. They are perfect for that, just enough warmth. Breeze gets through, which is to be expected for a midweight glove. Carry a backup for breezy days, just in case. The sticky bits on the palms are very grippy. My only complaint is that the sensor area does not activate my phone screen. I still have to take the gloves off to operate the phone, except, if I'm willing to lick the pads. I'm not, really, beyond the initial experiment when they were clean. Other sensor gloves work great, so I'm not sure what happened here. I took two stars off because it's a selling feature.
