Timberline Trapper Cap delivers weatherproof warmth with a convertible earflap design
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"I wear this cap all winter long—on hikes, campouts, and even walking the dog. The ear flaps are clutch when the wind picks up, and I love that I can snap them out of the way when I don’t need them. Super warm, super light."
When temps dip and the wind kicks up, we turn to the Timberline Trapper Cap for flexible, insulated protection. Designed with a DWR-treated soft shell and fleece-lined interior, this cap keeps us warm without overheating and adapts to changing weather with convertible ear panels that snap out of the way when not in use.
Its bluesign® approved recycled nylon blend is durable, water-resistant, and stretches with movement, while breathable construction and moisture-wicking properties make it as practical as it is cozy. Whether we’re hiking through snow-dusted pines or gearing up at the trailhead, this cap is our go-to for low-profile, high-performance head coverage.

Good Idea but....
This is a great idea but execution is not great. First off, when wearing the hat with out the ear flaps down the tips of the flaps stick out - not a good look. I put small pieces of velcro at the point of each flap to make sure they stayed against the hat. Also there is no way to size the hat. I am in between a small and medium (closer to a medium), so the medium is bit too large. I put a 1/2 in piece of elastic inside the headband (all the way around) to snug it up and not to lose it in a gust of wind.
