32 waist, small the better fit
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Size Bought:
- Small
- Weight:
- 180
Feather light and durable, rain proof yet vented For hiking and low drag thru brush, small works for me (6' 180 lbs) over uninsulated pants. That matches the profile of the medium jacket If doing ballet on the rocks, medium pants will give more room But for most other activities, it'd be too baggy

Tall is too tall
My issue isn't with the pants which are great, BUT with the sizing chart - I am 6'3" and 36" waist and a large size works for me but I have an 34" inseam and the chart recommendation is to get a tall size however I think regular would have been much better. The pant legs bunch up at the bottom when I have mid waterproof hiking shoes on. The OR pro deal is great but unfortunately they don't allow exchanges or returns. I would liked to have swapped this pair for a large regular.

Great rain pants!
I've had several pairs of rain pants from other manufacturers over the years and these are the best so far. They don't restrict my leg movements, don't leak, and are easy to get on and off. The rise is high, so you have good overlap with your top and the waist drawstring seems sturdy enough, although I pair them with suspenders also. Rain and wet brush are expected if you are outside much of the year here in the PNW, so you need some good rain pants.
