Why We Like The Outdoor Research Ferrosi Pant
We believe that if you can't wear your current pants up mountain peaks, on long plane rides, and to the brewery after the crag, then it's time to upgrade. And we've found that there are few better options than the Ferrosi Pants from Outdoor Research. Not only does the lightweight nature of these pants make it an easy choice for light-and-fast movement in the mountains, but it also prevents lingering moisture from clinging close to your body for hours on end. Accidentally tip your canoe? No worries, the Ferrosi pants dry up and get the adventure back on track in no time.

Great fit.
I bought this pant in blue. I have been looking for a lightweight hiking pant that I can travel in and even go out to dinner in. And now I have found it. I am now ordering it in black too.

I like to wait over a season or two before I leave a review as I feel leaving reviews right out the gate isn't an accurate representation of a product with little to no time using it. I bought these pants in 2023 for a hike around the perimeter of MT Blanc in Europe. They did great in the wind, repelled light rain, dried quickly and they are very light in terms of weight. They aren't warm, but given I run a little warmer these are versatile for temps into the mid 40's granted there isn't a ton of wind, and into the low 60's. They will get wet in moderate to heavy rain so you will want a shell with them if using in rainy areas. These are very durable and haven't ripped at all, they run a tad big I would say I'm 5'4" 123 lbs and have 37" hips and I would say they are loose but I like that fit and they aren't tapered (gross!)

Perfect Travel pant
Wonderful fit, wonderful material and they are the perfect travel pants. Wife and I went to Europe for nearly 3 weeks and she wore them heaps of times and really enjoyed their functionality .

Nice pants but...
The pants are comfortable but the weave of the material means that they snag very, very easily. I got two snags on my first wearing. If I wore these out hiking and off trail where I would like brush up against shrubs, bushes, these pants would look a mess and essentially unwearable (I want to look good!).

Comfy and cute!
I have purchased multiple pairs of these pants for daily wear, hiking, and climbing. They are super stretchy and comfortable, and as a tall woman I really appreciate the extra long inseam option! The colors are nice, they seem durable, and they are a cute fit as well. I'd certainly recommend these hiking pants for anyone looking to update their wardrobe for the spring or fall hiking season! Happy hiking!

Size
Super breathable, great fabric and color options but really only a summer pant. Not super season-universal. Also they don’t have my size, so I had to size up so it’s slightly big on me.

My wife's favorite pants.
My wife lives these pants. I get her a couple pairs in different colors. She's a teacher and always gets compliments when she ears them. I have many pairs as well. I hiked the PCT last year with a Ferrosi convertible pants, so I can attest to their comfort and durability. They stretch nicely. They breath very well. They're soft and they look good. If you've never tried anything from the Ferrosi line, do yourself a favor. You can't go wrong whether you choose pants, jacket, or pullover.

Fav backpacking pants for years
I love these for backpacking and hiking. They are lightweight, stretchy, but durable and hold up well against brush. I’ve been backpacking for 10 years and have tried many pants and these are my favorite. The range in lengths is super awesome.

OR Ferrosi Pants Great Style and Functionality
They are super comfortable and they fit great. Very flattering. They are comfortable to wear now in the hot Texas heat. I plan to layer tights under them next month while in chilly Vermont if needed. They take up little space in my luggage and are versatile enough to wear hiking, climbing, out to lunch, or for a casual dinner. I purchased 3 colors.
