Here's what customers have to say
The jacket is versatile and well-designed, praised for its excellent breathability, warmth, and lightweight construction, making it suitable for various cold-weather activities like Nordic skiing, running, hiking, and camping. The grid fleece design helps regulate temperature and prevent overheating, while the front nylon panels provide wind protection. Many reviewers found it to be the perfect lightweight layer for high-exertion activities, keeping them warm without causing overheating. However, some noted the sleeves are a bit long, and it may not provide enough warmth for sitting still in very cold temperatures.

My favorite light jacket. Not only is it soft and much warmer than expected, I have gotten tons of compliments from strangers because of the fit and color scheme (green with orange insulation). It’s a little too tight/fitted for climbing, but stellar for hiking/running. It would be a great buy for all ability levels.

Great jacket ! Despite its lightweight construction, the jacket is warm and comfortable as well as breathable. Stoked with the purchase!

Perfect jacket with the WORST zipper

This jacket ticks many boxes for me. Lightweight, breathable, somewhat windproof, warm to 20-30F by itself (and depending on activity level), trim fit so wearing under a shell is perfect, wicks perspiration well, well fitting, some pockets, nice hood with stiffener visor. I have two complaints and one is no big deal. The jacket retains odor easily and quickly - no big deal. The real deal breaker is the primary zipper. It is either undersized, of poor quality, poorly designed or all of the above. I have had the product for about 2 months and have probably used the zipper 20-25 times. Had to submit a warranty claim today as the zipper became increasing harder to start and now has failed to work. Big disappointment from an OR product and especially one that is relatively expensive

Wow
Everything about this jacket is so perfect. Light, breathable, and perfect fit. I don’t think I’ve had such a good fitting piece. For reference I am 6’ 190 lbs and the large fits perfectly. Plenty of length in the arms, slim athletic build. I’ll probably buy another

One of my favorites!
The jacket is amazing. The poly liner wicks sweat and dries very quickly. The jacket is extremely breathable and has been used on everything from casual strolls to more strenuous runs. It is a little fitted, so size up if you plan on layering underneath it.

This is my go to run around town jacket. The mapping for thermal properties is very well designed and makes this jacket comfortable in most conditions.

Great Cold Weather Running Jacket
I've used this jacket on longer runs in the temp ranges of 5° to 25° and it performs really well. No issues using it woth just a tee underneath. I like the material layout because it puts insulation where you need it. It has solid wind protection as well. I could see this piece used for hiking as well. For running, only issue I see is there isn't any reflective material for running in low light conditions, but isn't a show stopper.

Can you make this not smell terrible after one use
Love the deviator. It's a great layering piece and awesome for ski touring. The thing is that OR grid fleece smells TERRIBLE after only one brief use. Even wearing it around town it stinks after a few hours of wearing. Now, you may say, dudeman you are just a super smelly dude. And while I am a sweaty person, I wear my other layers for long sweaty backpacking trips or ski tours and they smell better at the end than the Deviator after some casual wear. Would be 5 stars if OR could figure this out.

Great jacket!
I primarily use this jacket for nordic skiing and have found it to be the perfect lightweight layer for activities requiring high exertion.
