Why We Like The Outdoor Research Deviator Glove
When we're in the thick of shoulder season and need a lightweight glove to hold in heat and let out moisture, we look no further than the Outdoor Research Deviator Glove. The light insulation on the back of the hand holds warmth in by reflecting our body heat back to us, while the easy stretch allows for natural movement, so we can be warm and comfortable for hours. Goat leather overlays on the palm and fingertips provide a rock-solid grip on our poles or phone, and the simple pull-on loop makes it easy to take them on and off. Recycled materials used in construction give us peace of mind that we're making a sustainable choice, so we can focus our attention on bagging big peaks and stomping steep runs.

Surprisingly Good Touring GLove
I got these as just a general glove for winter walks/runs with my dog and decided to try them out as a touring glove yesterday. I was really pleased to find that they worked great. Conditions were relatively mild, some cold snow falling so it wasn't your typical PNW slop, but the gloves held up great. My hands stayed warm, incredible dexterity and I didn't have to take them off a single time, was able to pull out my phone and navigate to OnX and look at the map. Will be interesting to see how they fair in slightly wetter conditions but overall was very impressed.

Great in between for cold and cool
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times

Solid glove good for cold weather running. Wouldn’t wear for under 30F. Fingers run long and width is narrow. Had to go up a size to get my hands in but my fingers are at least 1/2 inch from the finger tips. Touch feature is useless because the long fingers fold over themselves.

Good for cold ish weather
I’ve used these once so far for cross-country skiing at -3 degrees Celsius. My fingers were cold to start but warmed up and didn’t get sweaty. Happy with them so far!

Great design principles.
Gloves are hard to review because everybody's hands are so different. I found the fingers to be a little long for my hand and longer and skinnier than how the standard OR medium size fits my hand on their other gloves I own. I think the glove material on the palm is great and the extended reinforcements between the thumb and forefinger are super utilitarian. The material thickness on the back of the hand might be a little thinner than I'd prefer, but it still works well. I picked this glove in this case for the reinforcements and the white color on the back of the hand.

Perfect Spring Skiing Gloves
Warm enough and water repellent enough to keep my hands comfortable for those sweet days when skiing big corn moguls!

Good glove for high output activities

Purchased this for skinning in the backcountry and nordic skiing. Will use them not only as a spring glove, but also as lightweight glove stashed in a jacket pocket in colder weather, to be used during transitions and handling skins. I have used them several times and I like the dexterity of the glove, light weight, quality construction (including reinforced high wear areas), water resistance, and breathability. They really have met most all of what I was looking for in a light glove to be used in high output activity. The only reason they don’t get 5 stars is that several of the fingers are a little long - which impacts dexterity - and I would prefer a Velcro tab on the wrist to be able to ease putting on and removing the glove. Good solid pick though

Love, love, LOVE these gloves!!!

I live in northeast Ohio, where they saying goes, “if you don’t like the weather, wait ten minutes.” :P That said, I have a plethora of gear to accommodate the varying weather conditions. These are now part of my quiver, a fantastic glove in the 40’s and humidity for all around use (driving, rucking, etc.) The fit is incredible, the grip is excellent on my steering wheel, and the touch screen compatibility is fantastic. Of course, they look great, too. Can’t say enough good things about these gloves! Love them so much that I’m trying to justify why I need a second pair… :-)

Ready for cold winter mornings in the Rockies
First time using these gloves was on a hike to long lake in Colorado. Winter winds were horrendous but hardly noticeable with these on. They offer enough protection to keep hands warm but don't hinder any hand movements. I was able to setup my photography gear with the gloves on and found them to be very comfortable. Overall a great buy.

Great gloves for biking and running
I was looking for a relatively lightweight glove that would provide enough wind resistance for cold weather biking and running and these gloves were perfect.
