Great head net!! Saved me on my last hike

Head net was great. We hiked the high sierra trail and ran into a lot of bugs and mosquitoes and If it wasn’t for the head net I would have been eating alive. I still had to spray the net with a ton of bug spray to actually keep them off while wearing it but it was super light, easy to fold up, and compact enough to store anywhere in my pack. I would highly recommend for anyone planning a hike where they know they will run into bugs.

Great product--but how do you put it away?

This def surpasses the ones that you can't keep off your face. I have had mine for several years and have long ago forgotten how to fit it into the "cap". I wish there were a video on that technique.

Lightweight Non Spray Option

This is a pretty great lightweight option if your not into using spray on your face, or if your being accosted by Alaska-size mosquitos.

works perfectly as intended to keep your face bug free. Incredibly lightweight without making a noticeable difference in your backcountry pack weight. The added metal ring is a game changer to help keep the mesh off your face

Keeps the bugs out

This net was great with or without a hat on. The ring held the net away from your face so the misquotes couldn't bite through it. It was quick to put away and also get out. I used this in the Boundary Waters and it saved me especially when portaging. It allowed me to hold paddle without having to swat the bugs away. The net is long enough that it doesn't leave your neck exposed even when fishing or paddling.

Portaging with bugs

On the Hood river we had low water and 14 portages. It was so warm we could bathe every day but one. But on the portages the mosquitos were fierce. Head nets and bug jackets were on except when in the bug tent. Don't bother with repellent unless it is 100% deet

A bug season must

It packs away easily and weighs practically nothing for the service it provides.

Finally ! Bug protection that works!

The nice fine mesh keeps out the mosquitoes and most of the knots and black flies. I actually spent some time in the garden this year. The hat makes for some extra warmth, but well worth it.

Love this product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this product. Have owned one for about 10 years, it is still usable but the metal ring is pretty much bent out of shape. I expect this new one to work just as well for another 10 years.

It Works!

Pair this with a bucket hat and your set! I wore this in the BWCA at this height of bug season and it really helps. It's breathable and the metal ring pulls it away from your face.
