The reviews for these down mittens are overwhelmingly positive. Customers report the mittens are incredibly warm, lightweight, and packable, making them great for outdoor activities in cold weather. Several reviewers with Raynaud's disease or chronically cold hands say the mittens have been a game-changer, keeping their hands toasty warm. The mittens are described as well-made and durable, though a few customers found them to run a bit large. Some minor complaints include the thumb area being under-insulated and the mittens not being as warm as heavier duty down mittens, but most agree the warmth-to-weight ratio is excellent. Overall, these appear to be high-quality, versatile mittens that provide great value and warmth.

Took these to summit camp in Greenland.
These mittens are very warm. I took them as a replacement liner for a pair of snowboarding mittens that I’ve been using for years. They are very warm. I used them when riding snowmobiles and working in temps down to -30F. They are not very tough so I wouldn’t recommend using them for work unless you are using an outer shel to protect them.

Great Price and Quality
I've been using the Outdoor Research down mittens for several seasons now, and they’ve quickly become a must-have piece of gear in my pack—especially during glassing sessions in cold conditions. Whether I’m posted up on a windy ridge or sitting still for hours waiting on movement, these mitts deliver serious warmth without sacrificing packability. The insulation is top-notch, keeping my fingers from freezing even when temps drop into the single digits. I’ve worn a lot of gloves and mittens over the years, but these are on another level when it comes to retaining heat. They also slide easily over a thinner glove, which makes it easy to pop them off quickly when I need to get hands-on with optics or gear. Durability has been impressive too. I've dragged them through brush, snow, and all sorts of rough terrain without a single issue—no tearing, no cold spots, no failed seams. Bottom line: if you spend time glassing or hunting in cold weather, these mittens are worth every penny. Lightweight, ultra-warm, and built for real-world use. Outdoor Research nailed it.

Warm Mitts
Some of the warmest mitts I own. These are great for cold days in the mountains where you need something that packs down small and light. They aren't abrasion resistant so don't expect these to be a new winter work glove but paired with a shell mitt they've been a life saver. Ideal for someone who's hands get particularly cold and are needing a light weight & packable solution. These are always with me when snowmachining, winter camping, and low single digit ski days as a warmer backup.

Best gloves!
I actually use these gloves when I run in extremely cold temps. They are easy to take on and off and keep my hands warm for long runs.

Lofty camp mittens
These mittens fit according to the size chart; they are solely camp mitts for me, as they lack dexterity or durability for hiking, but i knew this when i bought them. They are warm, lightweight and I like the color

Great mitt!
I wanted some warm everyday mitts for around the house (we live at 7000' and spend a lot of time outside / shoveling / snowblowing snow). These are great - super warm, soft inside and shove in a pocket no problem.

Very warm and great for chilly walks
Got these for my mother and she has really liked them for cold windy walks with the dogs. While they are great for walking and casual outdoor activities I would not recommend them for skiing or any rougher conditions. They are a softer material that doesn’t have the tough material on the palm. Overall they are great mittens for walking and staying warm.

Cozy gloves!
These gloves are definitely warm! I accidentally got them a size too big so it is hard to do much when wearing them but otherwise perfect for strolling through any winter paradise- woods or city! I love the bright yellow color- definitely not losing these!
