Why We Like The Atmos AG 65L Backpack
It's simple: the comfier the backpack, the comfier the hike, and the comfiest backpack is the one that fits best. The Atmos AG 65 Backpack is Osprey's best-fitting, most ventilated, and comfiest option for multi-day treks. Multiple adjustments running vertically and horizontally place the padded shoulder straps and suspended mesh back panel right where we want them, and the padded Fit-on-the-Fly waist belt lets us buckle, cinch, and go without hassling with a bunch of micro-adjustments.

Here's what customers have to say
The backpack has a comfortable and adjustable suspension system that distributes weight well, making it feel lighter than its capacity. It offers convenient features like side access zippers, exterior pockets, and an integrated rain cover. Some users note the reduced maximum weight capacity compared to previous models may be a downside for those carrying a lot of gear. Overall, the backpack provides excellent comfort and support for long-distance hiking.

Hi Osprey Packs. I like
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hi Osprey Packs. I like the pack but I feel like the hip belt is too wide for my body type. If I have the top of the belt tight under my ribcage the bottom hits where my legs meet my torso in the front, right in the joint, causing cramping and fatigue. I've only used it locally on training hikes and will be going on my first backcountry trip next week in the Trinity Alps. Where can give you more input after my trip. Thank you. John

My Atmos AG 65 was
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Atmos AG 65 was a replacent for my 10 year old Atmos backpack. After 10 years the old pack started "delaminating", I guess it is called, when the coating inside starts to peel. I was happily surprised when Osprey replaced the pack under their all mighty guarantee. I really liked my old Atmos for the ventilation on the back and for the pockets. I am finding I like the Atmos AG even more. It fits me better and carries very well for me. It is not nearly as light as my Kakwa, but the convenience of the pockets, the airflow for my back, and just the general feel of the weighted pack will keep it relevant and useful for many years to come. I expect this pack will not spend much time hanging in the closet.

This is a replacement pack.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a replacement pack. I got my first Atmos pack in 2007, which I absolutely loved. This pack is even better - more comfortable straps and overall better ergonomics. I have not yet had it out on the trail, but I am very excited for this summer.

Not near as good as previous models
THE BRAIN/TOP IS NOT REMOVABLE ANYMORE. For me, who always took it off to save the extra weight, this completely ruins the versatility of bag. Added features are adjustable backside, pull out waist adjustment, and integrated rain cover. I would rather not have the added tech on the back and waist, just more things that can malfunction, and quite a bit of added weight. This bag is purely for weekenders now, and can no longer be tailored to those putting in long miles.
