Great fun to use!
Having a great time with different doughs and temps. A infrared thermometer is a must for the stone, as it takes a bit longer than the oven air temp to get the stone up to that level. Indoors, be carful of too much flour or corn meal on your peel that will burn fast and create a lot of smoke, because of this, I make my indoor pizzas on a high quality parchment paper - cut to the size of the pizza - in the oven cleanly of the peel for less than a minute and removed when you are ready to turn the pizza. I am amazed that the outside temp of the oven is around 130 degrees when the inside is 800 degrees.

great and not so great
Amazing for home based pizza makers. Making 1-2 pizzas every 20 minutes. Phenomenal product in that sense. If i'm making pizzas back to back to back , it loses too much heat on the bottom. Top heat is great. The boost tool should be accessible at all times, not just when the temperature is set. That kind of defeats the purpose of boost.

Nice but loses heat when door is opened
I'm coming up nicely on the learning curve. I bought this vs the main competitor's one because of the larger interior (13X13 inches approx wall to wall). But the one weakness I see is that every time the oven door is opened (to turn pizza or take out to put another in) the oven loses at least 100 degrees F and one has to wait. This said based on other pizza experience I have I think more mass is needed with the stone. Is there a thicker stone available, or better yet, have you tested putting a similar sized pizza steel (say 1/8 thick) on top of the shipped baking stone in this oven? It would take longer to heat up but then with this extra mass the oven would hold its heat far better. If this can be solved some way (vs waiting to heat up as time is precious) I would rate this a 5 out of 5.

Pizza challenge
We’re still learning and trying to get the temperature just right, but I’m confident we’ll master the technique. I use my vacuum to remove the cornmeal and end up removing the stone to clean. We made pizzas with our grandkids and it was a hit.

Ooni volt 12 pizza oven
Generally happy with the oven. Oven turns off after 20 minutes so if you let it pre-heat longer it might turn off while your cooking pizza.

This is an excellent electric oven
We are major event caterers and we bought 2 of these for a pop up. They are incredible smart to buy 2 as we could do one and then have that one recover why we did the other. Small learning curve first pizza was not good but it's an easy fix. Do not over sauce. . . . same with cheese.

Exceeded Expectations
I initially had reservations about switching to an electric pizza oven, especially after years of using the gas-powered Gozney Roccbox. But after using the Ooni Volt for several weeks, I can confidently say those concerns were unfounded. The results have been consistently impressive—crisp yet tender crusts, perfectly melted toppings, and an overall bake quality that surpasses what we used to get from the Roccbox. What really stands out is the ease and control the Volt offers. There’s no fussing with gas, and the heating is incredibly even. I’ve found the learning curve to be minimal, and once I got a feel for the temperature settings and timing, the results became reliably excellent. It’s also much more convenient for use on our covered lanai. If you’re on the fence about going electric, don’t be. The Volt has exceeded my expectations in every way—and has become a valuable addition in our pizza-making routine.

Have only used one time
Have only used one time so can only say that the pizzas I made were outstanding, Oven worked flawlessly, fun to use! Did a water/olive oil dough that came out like it would from a commercial grade oven

Temperature is way off
The temps are all over the place. Set at 650 and beeps ready at 535. Set at 550 and beeps at 645 etc… and fluctuates greatly when cooking. I bought this because it was an electric oven where you could set the temperature you wanted. Supposed to be simple, but it’s not. Constantly checking this thing. My food turns out good, but I have to really work at it and even put in the air fryer to finish cooking it at times. Doesn’t get as hot as it should and then too hot for calzones; you never know. I had another brand, half the price, and it cooked perfectly! Then after 3 weeks it would not come up to temperature. I thought this would be the best oven I could possibly have.

I love this pizza oven.
I love this pizza oven. I had originally bought the Ooni Koda but was restricted by weather conditions and had to get hubby to hook up the propane tank. The Volt allows me to cook even when it's raining or oppressively hot outside. The pizza comes out great and I love how quickly it is ready. Allows each of us to make our own so everyone is happy. Worth every penny.
