Here's what customers have to say
The product reviews are mixed. Many customers found the shoes comfortable and stylish, with good support and construction. However, some reported issues with the fit, such as feeling too narrow or tight, even in wide sizes. A few also noted the shoes felt heavier than expected for casual sneakers. There were also some complaints about durability, with the inner fabric ripping after short use. Overall, the shoes seem to have an inconsistent fit and comfort, especially for those with wider feet. Customers recommend ordering a half size up or trying the wide version.

Wide and stylish
I was a bit cautious since I wear a 2D Wide size and these only came in Wide, well they fit great, look great, and are very stylish.

Way too narrow.
Way too narrow. Ordered the wide, and they are as narrow or more narrow than most shoes and nowhere near as wide as other New Balance "wide" sized shoes that I've owned. I should have read the reviews. It's a shame because I love the style, but I think I'd have to order at least a full size up for them to be wide enough.

Exactly as I’d hoped
Look great. Fit great. Feel great! I saw these on a video and thought they were cool. Turns out…THEY ARE!

Wide Size Significantly Narrower than other models
Seems fairly well constructed but just doesn't work for my foot size. Even though I wear a 10.5 2E 574 and 608, the 10.5 2E of the 440 V2 felt much narrower than either of my other new balance shoes.

Sole split.
Sole has already split in less than 1 month of wearing.

Not Wide Enough
I wear a 14 4e (xxxx wide) and as you would figure the 14 2e was too tight. I returned through hassle free process at local NB store and re ordered a 15 2e, this fit much better but still a bit tight out of the box. The more i wear them the better they feel but will require some serious use before they become comfortable. Build quality is great, and they are fantastic for sk8ing and will hold up as expected if you thrash hard. A dab of shoe goo in wear prone areas may help, but im positive i will wear these out quick, because i ride hard and thrash. ***"NEW BALANCE PLEASE START MAKING 4E SHOES FOR SKATEBOARDING"*** "THERE IS A MARKET FOR BIGFOOT SKATERS"

Best for Beginners / Casual skaters
Bought these to skate and they wore out after 5 sessions at the local. These fit great; honestly the sizing was perfect for my 13 2E sized feet. Barely had to break them in, at all. However, the grip tape ripped through my toe side in less than a week. If you're a beginner skater that can only ollie or just want to use these to cruise, these are for you! If you're an intermediate to advanced skater, go with the 480s. They have longer life and a plastic toe piece so even when you get through the fabrics, you're not eating at your socks.
