Why We Like The New Balance Fresh Foam X Hierro V8

The Fresh Foam X Hierro V8 Trail Running Shoe is what we get when New Balance takes its best running technologies to the trail. Their proprietary Fresh Foam X midsoles absorb shock when we run over rocks and roots while providing plenty of energy return, and the Vibram Megagrip rubber gives us gobs of grip on all kinds of terrain, wet or dry. Compared to the V7, the updated Hierro V8 features improved cushioning, a more stable fit, and more protection.

Customer Images

Here's what customers have to say

The product reviews are mixed. Some customers find the shoes comfortable, lightweight, and suitable for trail running and hiking, while others criticize the quality and durability. Several reviewers note the shoes feel less stable and cushioned compared to previous versions, with issues like the tongue sliding and poor laces. Some also found the shoes too flexible, causing discomfort. However, a number of customers still recommend the shoes, especially for those with wide feet, saying they are comfortable for daily wear and light activities. The overall consensus suggests the quality has declined compared to previous models, but they may still work well for some users.

Running on pillows! Insane grip!

Just marvelous. Are these sort of running shoes legal? For walking asphalt or trails a very comfortable shoe. As for running, it's like running on tiny pillows. More over the grip of the shoe is excellent. I walked up two round metal bars with about 15 cm in diameter, the bars where wet. With a little help from my hands to get up there safe, no problem with the vibrant grip on this v8. I have a foot problem and this helps a lot. Some getting used to but I must say it is only the second day and yes I like them very much ! The only thing I do not like is it's feels and looks a little bulky from middle foot to toes. But this also might be part of the reason they are so comfortable. Would not want to compromise that.

hierro V8

I purchased because of the color (I always use 1080) Very nice and comfortable. My only complaint is the sole is a little noisy.

Great Walking and Training Shoe

So far they’ve been great. I walk 2-3 miles per day on asphalt and concrete but they’re holding up well. They are comfortable and have very good stability & support. Glad I bought them

Chack the width.

I generally love and buy Heirro's. But I bought this one as an online special and didn't notice that it is a very narrow shoe. As they're not a sox-off kinda shoe, It's not going to be much fun. More the idiot me. So check first.
