Field and Office
My work paid for this backpack as part of my field kit. I thought I'd try the tri-zipper since I was on the fence with my last MR backpack purchase (out of pocket). I wasn't sure if I'd like it. The interior is laid out very well- great pockets for my equipment- I love the tri-zip! Oh so easy to find what I need so quickly. Its a speed backpack- easy to find everything. I work in a location where I do brush bashing, but then in the evenings need a laptop. The side pocket for the laptop is great- again easy access to everything. My only two issues with this pack and other MR packs are the water bottle pockets are not always deep enough (possibly a tie at the top to hook into the water bottle lid would be great), and there are many zippers together that it would be nice to have them separated by color. Even if they were black, coyote, and olive. Its lightweight and rugged. One of the best I have had.

Very comfortable, Great overall pack.
I purchased this for a Europe trip and it worked so well. No other carry on or bags, just this. Camera gear, Laptop, Ipad, clothes, and essentials. I probably overpacked this thing, but the zippers kept up so well. Even when heavily packed, it is the most comfortable pack I've ever had. One problem I had was the waist strap kept slipping out from where it attaches to the pack. The other side of the strap where it buckles have stitched stops but not where it connects to the pack, allowing it to slip out. I just turned the straps around and the problem stopped. No biggie.

All Purpose 24-48 hour pack
I’ve used this pack several times for range training. It’s big enough to carry everything for 24+ hours. It distributes weight comfortably. I use the external pockets for water bottles. I appreciate the open accessibility and external compression straps.

Awesome frickin backpack!
It’s the ideal backpack. I was a little concerned about the size, but there’s more than enough space for everything I need to carry. Great design with internal storage. Comfortable to wear and the straps adjust nicely. Wished I would have purchased one years ago.

Do it
Airport carry on? Yes. EDC? Yes. Quick overnight? Yup. Gear bag, BOB, GHB? Heck yeah. Light day hike? Sure. You’ve heard all the hype and it’s true. Yes, it’s expensive but it’s bombproof and you get what you pay for. Just buy the dang thing. You can thank me later.

Awesome 2 days assault pack!
Well thought out bag and design. I got the one in coyote and it looks pretty sharp. The zippers look like they will keep things inside pretty dry in wet conditions. This pack feels really comfortable too!

EDC 2 Day Assault
I bought this bag for an EDC to work. I work in a mine as a medical provider so I have a lot of stuff to carry. I am comparing this to the Eberlestock Switchblade. I am still trying to get used to the pack and it seems everything fits as it should. The switchblade has more internal and external pockets and places to stuff things, but I'm getting there with this pack. I can't say anything about how the pack will hold up since I just got it and am currently building it out. I do notice that the internal side pockets intrude into the main cavity when you put bulky items in there, not a deal breaker, just have to learn to re-stuff things in a different place. Molle webbing on the outside is full size and it has 2 water bottle pockets. I wish the top pouch had Admin slots in it, that would save me from having to put another Admin pouch in there. Overall, good quality.

Love it
Love it! Does everything I need and more. The adjustable yoke and large side pocket water bottle holder is Gucci as the kids would say. Super stoked with this bag.

Perfect EDC pack
Excellent pack. Was looking at something for EDC for work. This one fits all my needs. And has room to spare, even on days where I’m throwing a change of clothes in it. Construction is tough—I overpack it, and it just takes the abuse. Happy with it. If I were to gripe about one thing, I wish it included the Velcro for the loose straps.

Any waist belt upgrades? or 3rd party options? I love everything except for the belt. I've testing the bag's durability for the Norwegian Foot March (30km) but i had to jerry rig a kidney belt to it from my body armor.

It's mentioned in thé Q&A, the that the 2DAP is recommended for civilian use only and not field use. Why is this not recommended for field use? Please describe what makes this different than the 3DAP other than capacity. Thanks

Is there sufficient material to cover the bottom portion of left and right side if the water bottle holders are removed?

How much lighter is the Hummus color than Coyote? The pictures make it look very bright in comparison. I'm looking for a pack in this size with these features for military use but I dont see a 2-DAP with the tablet/device sleeve in your .mil section

Do you have accessories to expand the 2DAP's storage? Preferably in black or oterwise Foliage. Maybe I'm just blind... Thanks!
