The MSR TrailShot Replacement Cartridge serves as a replacement to your TrailShot Microfilter, restoring flow rates after your previous filter cartridge is spent. This replacement cartridge filters up to 2000 liters of water before requiring a replacement and cleans one liter of water in as little as 60 seconds. It eliminates harmful contaminates, including bacteria, protozoa, and suspended particulates found in many lakes, streams, and waterways.

Love the trail shot and gravity filtration system
These are a key piece of water filtration for us! We use the trail shot for quick day trips and the gravity filtration system with the trail shot for longer backpacking and camping trips. It filters water quickly doing 4K others in around 20 minutes. The trail shot is light and packable and great option to fill your bottle quickly in. Stream along the hike. Definitely recommend this system. I’ve had my system for going on 7 years and replace the filter annually.

Love the trailshot. Small, light
Love the trailshot. Small, light weight, and functions in limited water sites as well as flowing streams. Only downside is the rapid rate at which the filter becomes unusable.

Filter back in tip top shape
My Trail Base filter was over 6 years old. Even though the usage count was fairly low, the flow rate during filtering was quickly degrading. This item was the trick to get performance back. The prefilter didn't fit with my version of the filter so I just ended up reusing the old one.

Put life back in my filter
I've owned the trail shot water filter for a few years now. Recently the reservoir has been less and less able to pull in water to fill the bulb completely making it very time consuming and tiring to use. Tried and tried to figure out the issue with no luck. Long story short, I was about to throw it away and decided to give this kit a try. Got the kit in the mail, replaced everything available and it was like brand new. Reservoir fills up 100% and great flow.
