Backcountry super hero.

Back and better than ever, the MSR PocketRocket 2 Stove takes everything that you loved about the iconic original and puts it into an even smaller and lighter package for quick meals deep in the backcountry. Weighing in at a meager four ounces, the Pocket Rocket 2 uses a compact folding design to pack down exceptionally small and save you precious space in your already crowded backpack.

Its ability to boil one liter of water in three and a half minutes comes to the rescue when you reach camp after a grueling trek in and hunger's been knocking down your door for the past hour, while its precision flame control ranges from torch to simmer to meet your cooking needs. And if conditions turn breezy, count on the WindClip windshield to help you get the job done before the clouds roll in.

This ultralight backpacking stove is praised for being lightweight, compact, reliable, and easy to use. It boils water quickly and performs well even in windy conditions, with a wide range of burn levels. However, some users have experienced issues with the stove becoming unstable over time due to loose screws and pot supports. Overall, it is considered a high-quality, durable, and efficient stove well-suited for backpacking and camping.

OK but eventually wears out

I had my stove for at least 5 years maybe more, I don't really remember how long. The gas knob turns in much farther than it used to and the threads on the bottom for the bottle finally got so sloppy that they are pretty much wore out. The anodize is gone from the threads and bottles tend to cross thread if not careful. I like the stove, it is compact and works well, but wish it was a little more durable. Maybe made out of better materials or even had a hard anodized aluminum.

Great tool

Simple, Compact, Effective. Three words that describe this stove. I have used this stove for several years on a daily basis. There is something satisfying about a fresh cup of coffee or hot tea after a hard days work or for calibration. Iv even roasted the occasional dove breast over the flame when the occasion has risen. This stove stays in the truck, back pack, boat, or blind where ever I go.

Brilliant otherwise

My only suggestion is give an option for Legs on a pot ring. Maybe a simple ring with legs, aluminium or a triangle the same height as the pot grips to keep from dumping my coffee water, omlet pan or soup.

Kalalau

I used mine for 5 days and 5 nights in the Napali Coast. Solo hiker. Just used to boil water for freeze dried food. Worked great for my needs.

Very light and doesn’t take

Very light and doesn’t take up storage room. I use it on most of my adventures backpacking, camp, or hiking to boil water and make some hot chocolate, coffee or food.

Perfect for Camping, Snowshoeing, Backpacking

Its great! Super small and has a case to protect it. We use it when we camp, backpack, hike, snowshoe.... its our favorite item! It makes me a little nervous being up so high on the cannister but there are attachments we plan on getting to help. 100000/10 recommend
