Love this tent so far!
Love this tent so far! Took it out on a 2 night trip and was impressed by the attention to detail put into making this product better than the last.

Used it on a beach
Used it on a beach bike packing trip on the northern California coast totally awesome. so easy to set up. Had to move the tent a couple of times because we didn’t know what the tide tables were. thought we were gonna get flooded, never happened but nonetheless tent was super easy to pick up and move around while we were worrying about that. I slept well in it. used it up in the Trinity Alps last week also super nice.

Sweet tent... But the poles are stupid.
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I bought this tent for a 2 1/2 month backpacking and photography trip in Europe. Overall MSR did a really great job with the redesign of this tent, it's light enough, extremely roomy for 2 people and fits a pair of 25" pads perfectly. The double doors and vestibules were a nice touch and the new colors are better (IMO), but whoever designed this pole system should be fired... or at least given a proper beating. ALL the poles for this tent are connected together with either cord or awkward connectors that make them ridiculous to handle for both setup and teardown. It would have been so simple to separate these into 3 individual poles, but the way it's designed, you can't separate them even if you wanted to. Also, the metal pole hubs both break down to be on the same end of the pole stack so it's really asymmetrical to pack, with all the bulk at one end of the pole pouch (which also sucks). Honestly, for us, this is the (near) perfect 3 season tent -- I just wish these poles weren't such a pain.

How can you sell a tent without giving the dimensions. I’m 6‘3“. Before I buy a tenant I need to understand how long it is and how wide it is.
