Lots of cheaply made by big or high end brands but this is a perfect almost all condition everyday jacket that looks great

Weight is wrong in the description

I purchased this for sheep hunting. When I got it in the mail it felt way heavier and bulkier than advertised. It's about double the advertised weight. They claim 9.3oz but it is closer to 18oz. That's a pretty significant difference and "approximately" doesn't seem to be used in good faith on this one. I overall think very highly of Mountain Hardware products. I have used and trusted many of their products for military deployments, mountaineering, sheep hunting, climbing Denali etc. If they put the correct specs in the description I wouldn't have purchased it. It appears to be made well but would be better suited for beers at the bon fire after the adventure than during it. I still gave it three stars because it is well made and sturdy. I just wouldn't use it for anything that requires me carrying it in a backpack for more than a day.

Great weight to comfort ratio for undexpected chills in the high desert.

Simply the best jacket. Super light weight, I never have to worry about sacrificing weight for comfort. I just throw it in my bag now and don't even think about it. It washes quite well too, as I run it through the ringer at work and camping. The down has not had a problem after about 45 washes with wool balls on regular temps. It's not water proof, but for light rains I have not had to throw on a rain jacket and have not felt that it was damp after.

Great!

Great between 35 and 50 degrees without much layering. Bought L, 6 ft, 194, 43/44 chest. The stretch makes a difference. I need to be in XL for some other MH models but then they become too long. This jacket fits perfectly and does well with warmth.

Excellent light down jackets that keep you warm

Fits comfortably and really like the stretching aspect. Light and warm enough for many occasions.

Fantastic jacket. My son LOVES it. He's gone back to NYC and looks like the chic mountain dude that he is.

Comfortable and warm

I purchased the jacket for travel to Indiana and Ohio during the winter. Temperatures ranged between 18 and 35°. It fit well over layers and kept me comfortable. I also liked the non-shiny surface and darker gray color.

Versatile and Warm Jacket with Great Flexibility

This is a nice jacket—super versatile. I use it for night walks around the neighborhood and camping trips to the desert. It keeps me warm even on really cold nights. My favorite feature, though, is how roomy it feels. It allows plenty of flexibility, even when I layer up. This is my second one, and this time, I went for the hooded version.

Very nice coat.

I was very happy with this jacket. I got the medium and it’s a little tight in the chest, but my chest measurement is 43 inches. With a thermal under-layer, this coat keeps me warm down to about 32°. If it gets colder or if there’s much wind, I would wear a rain jacket on top of it.
