Powder Maven Jacket brings down-insulated warmth and all-mountain performance to cold, high-output days

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"I’m always cold on the lift, and the Powder Maven Jacket is a total game-changer. The 650-fill down is super warm but still lightweight, and all the features—from the powder skirt to the underarm vents—make it ready for every kind of lap."

For those of us who chase fresh lines, power through icy groomers, and never let frigid temps call the shots, the Mountain Hardwear Powder Maven Jacket is built to ride hard and stay warm. With 650-fill RDS®-certified down insulation and a 2-layer windproof shell, it wraps us in reliable warmth without sacrificing breathability or style.

Dialed-in details like mesh-backed underarm vents, a helmet-compatible hood, and a two-way front zip make it easy to regulate heat and stay comfortable from the first lift to last tracks. The powder skirt integrates seamlessly with pants, while the RECCO® reflector adds an extra layer of safety in-bounds and beyond. Whether you’re hitting moguls, sending side hits, or lapping glades, the Powder Maven is your cold-day ride-or-die.

Great quality, thoughtful design

I bought this end of season so haven’t tried it outdoors yet. However, I think it will be a hit on the slopes. This product is thoughtfully well-made, with zippers and pockets where skiers need them. Quality of zippers, seams, and materials is fine. Only recommendation for improvement is a pet peeve of mine: I wish the powder skirt could be zipped on and off.

Beautiful and Warm

This jacket is perfect. I bought it for our Iceland trip. It has kept me comfortable in 12 degrees with blowing snow. I have received several compliments.
