Kor AirShell Hooded Jacket delivers ultralight wind resistance with breathable, packable performance

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"This is my go-to shell for unpredictable conditions. It’s incredibly light, packs down small, and offers just the right amount of wind protection without sacrificing breathability. Whether I’m layering up for an alpine start or blocking chilly gusts on a summit push, the stretch ripstop fabric moves with me while the hood stays in place."

The Kor AirShell Hooded Jacket is built for the fast-moving adventurer. Whether we’re pushing through alpine gusts or blocking an early morning chill, this ultralight shell balances breathability with wind resistance. Made with Pertex® Quantum Air 20D stretch ripstop, it allows airflow where we need it most while maintaining protection against the elements. The slim fit and raglan sleeves provide unrestricted mobility for climbing, hiking, or running.

When the sun comes out, we stash the jacket in its own pocket and clip it to a harness or pack with the built-in carabiner loop. Two zippered hand pockets keep small essentials secure, while elastic binding at the hood, cuffs, and hem seals out drafts. Finished with a reflective chest logo for added visibility, this packable shell is an essential for wind-prone pursuits.

Great Jacket!

This jacket is fantastic. Exactly as described. Super lightweight and provides just enough for a morning chill or added layer as you gain elevation. Perfect!

Love the coat

I love the coat, I have been looking for a light windbreaker with pockets.

Surpassed my expectations

This jacket surpassed my expectations. It's light and comfortable. Not too hot or cold for cool days and the DWR coating works really well. I used to have a windbreaker from another brand and this is significantly better. I'm 6"1' 173lbs and medium fits me perfectly. I can layer under with a thin fleece or wear it solo. I wouldn't use it as a designated raincoat but I haven't had any water get thro it even in moderate rain showers. I tried on several different brands before choosing this one and I like how it's not see-through. I definitely recommend it.

Light as a feather while it protects

The only shell i have ever owned that i do not feel overheated to wear while exercising(mtb/hiking/running). Great to cut wind and stands up well to light rain. Packs down to nothing. I take it almost everywhere and now own two. My most recommended item to any other outdoor enthusiast. I own two.

Over-the-top Good

Incredibly soft and light, but w/ the durability and strength of nylon as opposed to polyester. The breathability while being wind/rain resistant is also appreciated. I’ve had numerous shells for mountain treks and runs, this MH is exemplary. (Also, thx MH for having men’s and women’s oriented zippers.)

I need more!!

I keep one in my bike bag, my truck, and my backpack at all times - that's how essential it is! Plus it's so light, you hardly notice it's there. So breathable, soft, and breaks the wind like no other.

DO NOT wear backpacking

DO NOT wear this with a backpack. The material can’t withstand wear from the straps and will lose all waterproof qualities. One 40 mile hike and the jacket is toast. Shame, I otherwise really liked it, and it’s very pack able, but alas has no durability :(

Superb

Supreme balance of breathability and wind resistance. Ultralight. Great for biking and other physical activities. Add something like Patagonia capilene air underneath, and you got a great layer system when active. When it gets colder, it is thin enough to just put a jacket on over it. So versatile.

It’s light, pickable and just works

Bought this just before summer trip to Alaska where we’d be hitting different ports, doing multiple hikes, and the weather was always changing, especially when you’d hit these pockets of microclimates. Upon receiving it Iwasnt sure if it was worth the price, but didn’t let the lightweight feel fool you. Warner than it looks and kept my temperature regulated just fine with a long sleeve base layer. Held off light rain when I needed it. It’s not a tie rain shell, but much more than a windbreaker. Whatever it is—it just works.
