Why We Like The Mountain Equipment Zeno Jacket
To stay prepared for sudden storms on the trail, we clip the Mountain Equipment Zeno Jacket to our pack. When the clouds roll in, this layer unfurls from its own pocket to deliver waterproof coverage. As we climb over debris and up steeps, excess heat pumps out of the underarm vents, and the cinched cuffs and hem stop droplets from rolling in, ensuring we stay dry underneath.

Excellent Jacket - Glad I bought one
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer

- Large
I had this for a month. The jacket is of very good quality and well made. It did well in the rain and kept me dry. On 50 to 55-degree days, I was kept warm with a down vest underneath the jacket. The underarm zippers were great for letting out body heat when I got too warm during a hike. Since it is a slim fit, there is not much room for a heavy down or fleece jacket inside this jacket. The jacket works fine on windy days. Overall, I really like this jacket. Anyway, I wish that the inside pocket can be reached from the outside. As it is, I have to unzip the main zipper of the jacket to reach it. This allows rain, wind and cold air to get inside. Another minor issue is that the sleeves are very long and I need to fold them up to free my hands. But these are not major issues.
