MIXT 25+5 Backpack adapts to mountaineering missions with streamlined storage and ultralight design
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"I used the MIXT 25+5 on a winter traverse and was impressed by how much it carries for the weight. The quick-roll top lets me pack extra gear when needed, and the ice axe and ski carry systems are actually intuitive—something I can't say for every mountaineering pack."
The Millet MIXT 25+5L Backpack was built for fast-moving, all-season objectives. Whether we’re skinning into alpine bowls or racking up for a technical summit push, this pack keeps the load tight and organized with just the right mix of structure and flexibility. The ultralight design keeps us nimble, while the rugged ripstop construction and PFC-free DWR treatment fend off snow, spindrift, and abrasion.
Designed with alpine efficiency in mind, the MIXT 25+5L offers modular capacity with an integrated 5L expansion. We stash rope, helmet, and layers on the outside using dedicated lash points, and keep the essentials sorted inside the hydration-compatible main compartment. Front mesh and zip pockets give us fast access to snacks, skins, or gloves mid-route. With a ski carry, pole and axe systems, and removable straps to trim weight, it’s the kind of do-it-all pack we count on for ski tours, mixed climbs, and high-alpine ridge linkups.

This has been my go to pack for winter style alpine climbing. I find that it carries heavy loads really well and climbs great! I can fit everything I need for fast and light alpine missions in it and it seems perfectly suited to climbs involving tools. I really like the pockets on the shoulder straps for on the go snacks and hydration. This pack is similar to the Jorasses 30 pack, however i find that this one climbs a little better and is slightly more low profile on my back.

The best 'lead pack' that I've owned. The MIXT has it all, storage where I need it... even on the shoulder straps. Removable hip belt to avoid interference with my harness. A cinch top to keep snow out and a roll top for quick closure! One of my favorite features is the mesh outer pocket to shed or add layers efficiently. Whether living in the bottom of my approach pack to the base of the climb or carrying a shorter days climbing kit, I highly recommend this pack to anyone in need of an 'on route' pack!!
