Why We Like The Merrell Rogue Hiker Mid GTX Boot
The new Merrell Rogue Hiker Mid GTX Boot is a lightweight backpacking boot that lets us fly down the trail without getting weighed down. It's built on the last of the Agility Peak trail running shoe and paired with Float Pro Foam for lightweight comfort as we hike fast with a light pack. The ballistic mesh uppers shave some grams while the rock plate offers some support and the mid-cut ankle collars work with the GORE-TEX waterproofing to help us slog through puddles and mud while keeping our feet dry and happy. For peak performance, the Rogue also features Vibram Megagrip outsoles with 5mm lugs to dig into dirt, mud, snow, and scree for excellent footing on our thru-hike or weekend backpacking trip.

Here's what customers have to say
The reviews for these hiking boots are mixed. Some customers found them to be comfortable, lightweight, and with excellent traction, making them well-suited for various terrains. However, others reported issues with durability, such as the soles coming apart and the boots not being waterproof as advertised. The lacing system was also described as difficult to use. Overall, the quality and durability of these boots seem inconsistent, and they may be a good option for some hikers but not others.

I recommend
I love these. Bring the orange ones back. Comfy and durable shoe. Multiple 14ers in Colorado, snowshoeing and trail running on top of pretty consistent hiking.

Built for Iceland and beyond
Bought these for a trips to Iceland last March and again in September. From the beginning they fit so comfortably that I felt that I had them for years. Love the waterproofing, warmth and great grip in every season and condition.

This is the rogue hiker mid Gore-Tex
I put these boots on twice once in the house. The second time to go outside at that time The white shoelace hook on the boot broke off. It’s made out of plastic. And doesn’t hold up. I returned these boots.

Winter hiking boot
Ive taken these out on 3 medium length hikes (6-8 miles each). They are lighter than I had anticipated, comfortable and the grip has been great.

Great hikers
Solid hiker that has plenty stiff soles for rocky ground but cushy enough to make the hike easy. I could do with out the Merrell logos in big letters. Still a solid shoe
